Devyn Fries
Devyn attended California State University, Monterey Bay where she graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a minor in Pre-Law. While at CSUMB Devyn conducted undergraduate research on the topics of rape myth acceptance and the sexual objectification of women among college students. Her time at CSUMB allowed her to develop skills in data analytics, qualitative and quantitative research, and qualitative interviewing.
Since graduating, Devyn has pursued numerous opportunities within the field of psychology, ranging from her work at a residential eating disorder treatment center to serving as a research assistant at Boise State in a lab group focused on studying compulsive exercise and disordered eating in college men. Devyn is passionate about understanding human behavior and conducting research that benefits underserved and marginalized populations.
In her free time, she enjoys backpacking (particularly in the Sawtooth Mountains!), paddle-boarding, and spending time with her cat, Strawberry.
